Gaming At University
Gaming At University
How Will Gamification Play a Key Role in the Future of Online Learning?
Education has always been willing to test new ways to maintain student engagement. Now research from the Higher Education Statistics Agency, who claim that there’s been a decrease in the rate of students dropping out, down to 5.3% of students who began their first degree in 2019–2020.
This is the lowest rate on record, but there is a lot of other factors to consider.
Although we highlight this could be working from home (WFH), this was not identified by the universities.
We also recognise that the fees charged are still the same, so its quite likely that the students are enjoying Gaming “Whilst attending University” (Sic).
Keeping up engagement and having students actively enjoying their study can help to lower these percentages further.
The gamification of education, where you make learning more enjoyable and engaging for students by using game design features, could be the answer.

Top 50 Global Banks Will have Launched a Banking App Store for Customers
25 Per Cent of the Top 50 Global Banks Will have Launched a Banking App Store for Customers before 2016
In a report by Gartner, the explosive growth of apps is causing significant challenges for the banking industry
According to the report. Banking CIOs and CMOs face two key challenges. The first is that the visibility of customer banking apps in public stores is decreasing due to the total number of apps available; the second is that visibility of apps on bank websites is decreasing as the number of apps a bank deploys increases. This second issue is exacerbated by the fact that most bank web sites do not make it easy for customers to find their apps. This seems strange. One should ask why? It seems that the Apps are often listed by LOB (vertical markets), making it difficult for a customer to see all the apps offered by the bank, and even if they are listed in one place, the descriptions are often high-level and vague.

Focus on costs misses true value of IP telephony
An alternative view
There are two problems with the IP telephony hype. First, IP telephony probably won’t save you as much as you’ll end up spending on extra hardware to maintain call quality. The promise of cost savings is a red herring.
