Cloud Expo Europe 2015

Held at the ExCel, London.

Taking place on the 11^th & 12^th March, the ExCeL exhibition  provides room for new additions to the Expo, including a Software Defined Networking programme, dedicated Big Data content and a new dedicated programme for developers – all designed to attract more decision-makers from  enterprises, service providers and the cloud ecosystem.

Cloud Expo Europe features over 200 of the world's biggest technology providers, including AWS, EMC, Dell, NetApp and IBM.An impressive range of speakers, headed up by former Netflix CTO Adrian Cockroft, will be attending the event. Confirmed panel speakers include Chris Kemp, CEO of Nebula and former CTO at NASA, Daniel Leabeau, Group CIO at GlaxoSmithKline, as well as cloud computing experts from eBay, PayPal, Vodafone, HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Philips and Citibank.

The event will take place alongside Datacentre World, the largest datacentre event in the UK.

Mobile World Congress 2015

The event has changed over the years, originally a mobile industry congress, now a to a broader,  Internet , Technology, Media & Telecommunications fair at which telecoms meets digital media, IT, and entertainment. Ranging from IoT to ICT services and new hand sets, this year MWC attracted a record number of visitors and exhibitors.

Now with such a diverse collection of companies and individuals who attend, the type of the exhibitors and the absence of some major players tells us something about how the mobile telecoms industry is expanding /changing.  The show itself is moving away from the consumer telecom  market and moving into the cloud.  Offering cloud services, payment services, IoT, enterprise mobility, and ICT services. Previously there were whole halls for TV, broadband and mobile video.

Britain's biggest consumer home event the Ideal Home Show is to return to its original roots at Olympia London in March 2015. Dating back to 1908, when it was first launched at Olympia, the UK's most famous home show will be welcoming visitors across the 18 day .

The Ideal Home Show officially closed its doors at Earls Court on the 23^rd November, with the Christmas edition of the show marking the last ever exhibition to be held at the iconic venue.

This year at the GSMA World Mobile Congress

The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) today announced they will cooperate at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain March 2-5, 2015 in order to promote a unified message to the mobile community.   Exhibiting in Hall 8.1, stand K52, members of OMA and OGC will demonstrate how products and services enabled by standards developed at the two organizations have helped their companies achieve market success.

WSA-MOBILE Global Congress meets in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is rolling out the red carpet for the 40 world´s best mobile producers who are winners in the UN based global contest for mobile innovation with a knowledge impact.
