CompTIA appoints new UK Channel Community Director
Estelle Johannes joins to lead and expand the IT association’s UK Channel Community
• Renowned executive brings 8 years of UK IT channel experience to CompTIA
• Will bring in new ways of sharing information and networking, fit for the digital age
• Strong focus on expanding CompTIA’s European membership growth
CompTIA, the IT industry association has appointed Estelle Johannes as its new UK Director, Member Communities. Estelle will lead CompTIA’s extensive UK community, engaging with xhannel members and driving growth.
Estelle brings to CompTIA eight years of experience in the global IT community, having worked in the channel for many years, she was the Online Community Manager at Baptie & Company and responsible for managing the organisation’s global IT and Telecoms channel community. As a firm believer in connections through face-to-face networking, Estelle hosted regular community engagements such as focus groups and online and offline events to enhance member satisfaction.
As part of her plans for CompTIA’s UK community, Estelle plans to grow the existing UK Channel membership, ensuring that its events and meetings are of ever-increasing value to attendees. She also plans to extend CompTIA’s membership profile into central and northern Europe, as well as other emerging markets.
“CompTIA’s UK Channel membership is a passionate group of people who firmly believe in driving the standards of the industry forward, and I can’t wait to get involved,” said Estelle. “Communities are all about building long lasting relationships and I hope to make this a key aspect of our activity going forward by maximising networking opportunities. Through new ways of engagement, like gamification, social media interaction and eBooks, I hope to bring new ways of learning to the community and take the way we share information to the next level.”
